"Sometimes, I still cannot believe that I worked for Hallmark–it was like a dream-come-true," said Joyce. "I feel so privileged to have worked alongside and learned from so many talented artists."

Joyce began her career at Hallmark Cards in 1977 in the Process Art department. Several years later, as a free-lance artist, Hallmark asked Joyce to paint duplicates of figurines. Soon after, Joyce joined the Hallmark Keepsakes Ornament studio full-time and began sculpting ornaments. Her first Christmas ornament was produced and sold in 1985.

Since then, Joyce has designed and sculpted over 200 ornaments, sculptures, and collectibles. Of special note, Joyce contributed to the Susan G. Komen Foundation Angel Series, an Elvis ornament, many Wizard of Oz pieces, and the American Girl Series. Joyce was also instrumental in interpreting Dutch artist Marjolein Bastin's "Nature's Sketchbook" series, which helped influence Ms. Bastin to allow Hallmark to produce a series of ornaments.

Joyce was born in Owasso, Oklahoma and studied art at Oklahoma State University. She has been married to Tom for over 40 years, has five grown children and seven grandchildren. Joyce regularly contributes her creative talents to her church and other worthwhile charitable organizations. She loves spending time with her husband and growing family, and delights in creating beautiful heirlooms that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Joyce is regularly seen at signing events, collector's shows and conventions, trade shows, and other venues.
